EMC hires Western Ambassador

The Personnel Committee of the EMC General Board is very pleased to announce that Peter Doerksen has been hired to fill the role of EMC Western Ambassador. This appointment, effective October 1, 2022, is a new one-quarter-time position.

Peter’s primary responsibilities will be to serve as a goodwill ambassador to EMC churches in Regions 1 and 2. He will be available to represent EMC in church functions and to be an encouragement to pastors and church leaders in Western Canada.

Peter has served as a pastor in various EMC churches in Region 1, most recently at Vanderhoof Christian Fellowship in B.C. He and his wife Martha also served as EMC missionaries in Chihuahua, Mexico, for several years. Peter and Martha will be moving to Grande Prairie, Alta., in September, after finishing their service at Vanderhoof.
