Roseisle: Child Dedication Held Oct. 30

by Michelle Cenerini

ROSEISLE, Man.—On Sunday, Oct. 30, 2016, three families stood up in front of family and friends and dedicated their children to the Lord. Each family thanked God for the gift of their children and promised to raise their children to know Christ.

Parents shared prayers, stories, and poems for their children. As a congregation we promised to support these young families as they raise their children.

Pastor Paul Walker told the congregation that our promise to support these young families takes many forms. Youth were encouraged to lead by example and to spend time with the young members of our church. Members were reminded that our involvement in children’s lives by volunteering is a great way to support young families.

Danielle and Brian Derksen dedicated their daughter Madison, Andrew and Jeri Martens dedicated their daughter Jemma, and Pastor Paul and Kaylee Walker dedicated their son Benjamin.

We pray God’s continued blessings on each of your families. “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it” (Prov. 22:6 KJV).
